LONDON PALLADIUM OFFICES & HALL OF FAME
Client: Really Useful Group
Location: London Palladium, London, UK
Completion: February 2017

The Really Useful group was looking to rehouse its accounts offices within its theatre property portfolio, allowing income streams to be focussed on its core business rather than in the rental of external commercial space. As part of the London Palladium Master plan, volumes within the roof voids above the Theatre entrance had been identified as potential usable space for expansion.

The old offices above the Cinderella Bar we refurbished to provide dedicated Theatre administrative space.

The offices comprise both open plan facilities and meeting rooms with breakout space. A roof top kitchen and social facility has been provided with external terrace and garden. Circulation areas have been sized to make them usable for meetings and relaxation. Part of the refurbishment involved the rediscovery of an old stone staircase – this has been fully restored and connects the new offices directly to the front of house areas. As part of this new circulation route a ‘Hall of Fame’ function suite has been designed for private entertainment and public provision when needed.

As with all work at the theatres, the emphasis is on flexibility and the multi-use functionality of the spaces provided. The works were carried out whilst the theatre remained fully operational.
